medium and high mountain around the gite
More than 20 hikes (with GPX tracks) from 2 hours to 6 hours to enjoy fabulous landscapes all round the gîte. Go and meet mouflons and chamois at the bend of a path. Watch a vulture or an eagle fly by. The gîte is in the heart of Géoparc de Haute Provence labeled by Unesco in 2000.
Caroline and Marc will help you to prepare your walk and will be able to advise you on hikes, depending on the season, your physical condition and your desires.
Example of a proposed hike
At the end of the journey, you will see this old farmhouse which was home to the maquis during the Second World War. This old farm houses one of Andy Goldsworthy’s works of art, white stone arches.
The path of the Belon farm
It is a 2 hour round trip that follows a river (affluent of the Bouinenc) and is very sunny. Suitable for the whole family, the difference in altitude is 188 metres. In spring, it is a very pleasant walk because the wild flowers grow in the middle of lavender and thyme on this arid and black ground. You can also meet mouflons and their young.
