Taking the famous train of the Pignes for a day out? This is very easy to do with an early departure from the Digne train station. Stop and visit the village of Annot with its well-known hiking trail among the sandstones and its famous “King bedroom”. You may have your lunch there, board the train early afternoon and stop at Entrevaux, with its Vauban citadel built at 150 meters above the village. Then return to Digne on this famous train at the end of the afternoon..
Have you ever driven over such charming mountainous roads?
Why not stop for a few days at our “gites les terres noires”!
We are motorbike riders and we know well all of the small and sinuous roads in the area very well. They are absolutely delightful. It is worth taking the time to do a full day loop, starting by the Corobin pass ,then through Barrême, Plan de Chaude, Thorame to reach the pass of Allos, Barcelonnette and end the loop by the clue of Barles before coming back to our “gites les terresnoires”. It is incredibly fun and we have many other circuits to offer you!
